Nicholas Mikkel-John Long, also known as Diamonds, is a Texas-born musician steeped in old-timey hill country blues, folk, roots, and gospel music. He was the frontman of San Antonio-based blues band Lonely Horse, who toured extensively in the US and signed with Atlantic Records' subsidiary in 2016. After a two-year hiatus, Diamonds has returned to his roots in hill country music and has quickly gained attention for his clever melodies, seasoned writing style, and mesmerizing voice in the country, Americana, and folk scene.
Diamonds has been invited to play at major festivals, including the Americana Fest, Lucktober Reunion, and Pilgrimage Music Festival. He was also asked by Alicia Keys to perform on stage with her on her world tour. He has released two highly praised singles in 2022, with his album "Doing Time in the Feel Good Prison" set to release in March 2023. Acclaimed country and soul artists have called his music "beautiful sadness," "inspirational," and "music they miss".
