The solo artist known as Nige Wood has re-emerged after his last rock single, titled, “Higher” released under the band name BrotherWood in 2013.
The track was the first official release from him since winning the Battle of the Bands in 1998 in Alberta and his 1995 LP, “For the Machine,” with his band Lyamaneye (Liam-an’-I).
The rock anthem “Higher”, though greatly inspirational, features the catchy songwriting and powerful vocals of Nige Wood, whose talents are at the burning core of “Higher”. His talents prove him to be every bit as explosively dynamic as he ever was.
Nige Wood’s return demonstrates his seemingly endless capacity for writing heartfelt, majestic, melodic rock music.
“My aim,” Nige says, “is for the music I make to give hope in the face of hopelessness, healing in brokenness, and love in loneliness.”
