Having learned the theory and practice of Popular and Western art music in combination with studies in Ethnomusicology and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Athens, I draw inspiration, methodology and techniques from all that infinite realm, identifying me as a music teacher, artist and composer. About traditional music, my main influences come from the musical cultures of the following countries: Ireland, Spain, Bulgaria, Greece, South Africa, Turkey, Persia, India, Tibet, China, Java and Japan.
As an artist (electric guitarist, composer and poet), in recent years I have been working mainly in cross-cultural composition and world music. My goal is to blend elements from the aforementioned cultures to create original musical works that aim for a universal dialogue. I believe that in this way I show my respect and love for the human species and the whole of creation in general. My aim is to eliminate phobias and prejudices towards the "different".
