Timeless Hip Hop Roots Classic Hip Hop Energy with a modern edge. Born in Washington Heights, New York, Oscar discovered beat-making in the late 90s through his friend Luny of the iconic reggaeton duo LunyTunes. That early spark grew into a lifelong passion for creating music that bridges eras and genres. Rooted in the golden age of hip hop, OStar blends classic boom bap grit with modern production techniques, crafting beats that feel both timeless and fresh. His sound moves easily between hip hop, rap, reggaeton, and dance music—always with a focus on rhythm, soul, and raw energy. After some time in Boston, South Florida, Las Vegas and now based in Raleigh, NC, OStar continues to expand his sound and push boundaries. Every beat he creates carries the influence of his journey—from the streets of Washington Heights to studios across the country—while staying true to the culture that shaped him.
