In 2019, Plexx contacted the legendary Jamaican dub reggae producer, Scientist, to arrange an interview for a television show he worked for. Scientist, with a career spanning from the early 1980s, has over 200 solo albums and has collaborated with icons like Lee Scratch Perry, King Tubby, Barrington Levy, Yellowman, Bunny Lee, Mad Professor, Prince Jammy, Junior Reid, Shaggy, and countless others. Plexx and Scientist established a working relationship that led to ideas for future shared projects. Plexx wrote songs throughout 2019 but did not record them until early 2022. Now in 2023, he and Scientist are releasing some of that material on "Sparkleyes" already having a handful of singles ready for this year, with more in the works. Stay tuned for more updates!
