Orale, Chango here, I have a Chicano Rock band called Pa'Chango, short for Para Chango (For Chango). We play all original songs here in the San Joaquin Valley of California. One can hear the sweet aroma of fresh rolas (songs) ringing in the air. In the restaurants and alley ways, in the barrio, and out in the work-fields, the voice of a contemporary style music can be heard, harking back to the nostalgic mix of reminiscent sound of Santana, War, Malo, and of course El Chicano.
Through my music, my writing, and my artwork I want to keep my heritage alive. I want this to be an open space for open conversation and expression. Please let me know what you think and tell others.
