From the derelict factories and houses of the industrial North-West of England, to the frozen fjords of Arctic Norway, Gryst’s music creates a synthesizer-driven narrative influenced as much by film scores, science fiction and British and European electronic music, as the abandoned and natural landscapes of his youth. Gryst's exploration of electronic sound utilises a broad palette of sonic textures, musical genres and styles, from ambient, electronic, and EDM to soundtracks and experimental art-house projects. Gryst's prolific output allows for a 'multi-artist approach', as he delights in creating new musical personas through which he experiments and releases new tracks. Having developed a reputation remixing and producing tracks for a range of artists in Europe and the USA, Gryst decided to concentrate on a solo career in 2020, and built a home studio in the UK with a variety of equipment including: vintage synthesisers, modular sound engines and more modern technology.
