Penny Black are an alternative/stoner-rock band formed in Lancaster, United Kingdom in March, 2018. Penny Black quickly gained high praise around their hometown for high energy setlists, packed with unique originals and the occasional crowd enticing cover. Since their formation, Penny Black have consistently evolved their sound from a lighter synth-rock and indie flavour to a now, more focused, heavier, desert/stoner rock vibe which works in their favour, especially within their local music scene, offering a slice of anthemic down-tuned goodness that is plenty melodic enough for those who aren't as 'heavily inclined' where others cannot.
