Prof92

Durban South Africa

Prof92 is a Hip-Hop and Kwaito(AmaPiano) & Gqom artist and producer born in Richmond, KZN, who grew up at Clermont & Wyebank Phase2, Savannah Park Demat in Durban, whose music can be described as a journalism into reality with a mixture of personified storytelling. The musician began writing songs and recording at age 10 in 2002. He was inspired by international artists like Outkast, Mos Def, DMX, Notorious BIG, Tupac, and Eminem, along with local acts like Pro Kid, Brown Dash, Zola, Mapaputsi and Mawillies. This music played at his uncle's house made Prof92 fall in love with Hip-Hop & Kwaito. Prof92 credits A Plus and Msayrosi with teaching him how to rap in Zulu, although he also excels in English.
