Puray

Aalsmeer

Puray moves between hip-hop and drum & bass without ever feeling the need to pick a side. Rooted in underground culture, his music draws inspiration from the raw soul of J Dilla, the cinematic depth of DJ Krush, the jazz-infused atmospheres of LTJ Bukem, and the unapologetic energy of Cypress Hill. His sound stretches beyond genre boundaries, weaving together dub, trap, reggae, ambient textures, and spiritual elements into something both gritty and introspective. Every track tells a story—sometimes through dusty drums and heavy basslines, sometimes through spacious soundscapes that invite you to disappear for a while. The journey began with a Roland Groovebox MC-505 and evolved through years of producing in Cubase. Today, all he needs is a MacBook, Ableton Live, and Ableton Push to turn ideas into music.Puray isn’t chasing trends or algorithms. He’s chasing feeling. Music made for late-night drives, underground dance floors, headphones, and the people who still feel music. pass it on.
