Purplexed is an ambient trap producer who makes magical, nostalgic tracks. While his earlier songs closely resemble the likes of 2022 ADTurnUp and Adrian style beats, Purplexed's latest album, This Is What Heaven Sounds Like, takes a uniquely modern approach to the ambient sound. Compiled of a vast mix of different drum styles, instruments, beat switches, collaborators, and intricate song transitions, TIWHSL has become the forefront of Purplexed's mystical sound. Purplexed is a defining member of the Ambient Kingdom label, sitting alongside the likes of fellow ambient trap producers Vita, neiren!, ADTurnUp, Nandooxz, MPM Beats, Zuurkey Beatz, Medusa KB, and many others. You'll instantly know you are listening to a Purplexed track when you hear his tag, "Josh, call me, I want to talk to you."
