Q-R was born on July 8th in South Philadelphia. At age 11, his friend Malik encouraged Q to join him in pursuit of a music career. On March 9, 2002, Malik died. His death bed admonition was “to not give up on music”. 6 months later, after some soul searching, Q would buy an instrumental cd and re engage; writing rap’s full time. Q credits Jay-Z’s music with providing the inspiration to get through life’s hard times and lessons learned. In October 2007, Q released his first professional cd, “In The Eyes of The Writer” in the Apple Itunes marketplace. While not the commercial success he had envisioned, the resulting experience provided invaluable development and entrepreneurial insights. In 2011, Q was involved in a near-fatal car crash. He survived and that was a blessing. Incarcerated in 2012, losing invaluable time from his 2 daughters, upon released Q resolved to be a better father and music artist . 2015 he co-found company(Phil Good Music) & now CEO/Artist Q-R has returned
