Formerly known as Retrospect, Retrospect Deez found himself immersed in music early on in life in Worcester, MA. Playing in metal bands for a handful of years eventually evolved into something more. Something he could truly make his own; rapping. He found himself coming alive as he started to pen rhymes that expressed various aspects of himself. Come 2020 he dropped a pair of EPs as well as his current single, “Privilege.” With a background in rock music, Retrospect Deez’s vocals come from a punk place and make themselves at home in a modern hip hop realm on his current releases. Inspired by the likes of the late Mac Miller, and Blackbear this emerging artist brings a myriad of topics to the table in his music. ‘/Error/ features the likes of “Cold Heart,” a song about the world ignoring your potential and not realizing it until it’s too late. It is a sentiment so many underdogs in their line of work could relate to. His second release of 2020, ‘/.System/r.Exe//’
