Rev Ray, “The Son from the Sun City,” is a Chicano fusion artist from El Paso’s Lower Valley, blending Chicano cumbia, hip hop, reggae, R&B, and Latin rhythms into something unmistakably his. From the streets of the Lower Valley to stages across Texas and beyond, Rev Ray’s music carries cultura, familia, struggle, and resilience. He’s released tracks including Cumbia De Calle, El Paso Mi Chuco Anthem, Dos Golpes, and his latest single, “Lower Valley Kids Never Die” featuring Merk-Star, a tribute to everyone who grew up in the struggle and kept moving forward. Working in association with ShellShock Records 3, Rev Ray continues building his own lane while honoring the artists, musicians, and community that shaped his sound. “Nuestro cultura, nuestro sonido.”
