Rick McKay has been passionate about music since before he could walk. No exaggeration. He literally had to be pulled away from the family's radiogram every 5 minutes, where he sat with his ear pressed to the speaker, listening to Johnny Cash, The Beatles, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Guy Mitchell, Marty Robbins and whatever else his parents had in their collection. Once he discovered Elvis though, he was off and running, grabbing all the rock 'n' roll, rockabilly and country music he could get his hands on, ever since. Rick began playing at age nine and was in a working band before he left school. Since then he has fronted his own bands, play lead guitar, double bass, electric bass, drums, and even keyboards a couple of times in other people's bans, played lead roles in numerous theatre productions. Throughout his career he has always written and recorded his own songs.
