I'm Rico Meyer, a South African musician, entrepreneur, and adventurer. Music has been part of my life for years, starting out as a DJ before life took me in a variety of directions. Along the way, I became a qualified scuba instructor, sold my first business, Weapon Up, at 21, and now spend much of my time working in agriculture as a soil sampler. After years away from music, I've returned with a renewed passion for creating and sharing original songs. My experiences exploring the ocean, travelling, building businesses, and working outdoors continue to inspire my music and creative vision. Through my artist project, Buitenste Ruim, I aim to create music that captures a sense of adventure, freedom, and discovery.
