Raised in California in the 1990's and Y2K era, Melon has been influenced by the melting pot of cultures and pure vibes that exist in the sunshine state. From artists such as Beck, Sublime, Tim Armstrong, CCR, Grateful Dead and Still Woozy, to Sly and the Family Stone, Cypress hill, E 40, and H.E.R, Ripe Melon pulls inspiration from many parts of the musical spectrum to create the raw, heartfelt, and trippy rollercoaster of sound unique to him.
