Robert of Prague came From Heart of Europe – Prague, violated by Soviet tanks in 1968 (on August 21, 50 years ago), to Heart of the Rockies – Salt Lake City, via many countries & places; it's been a long & winding, bumpy & exciting road. Robert's music is also 'From Heart to Heart.' Robert performs (self-taught on guitar & vocals) a unique blend of upbeat, fun & uplifting acoustic music for all ages from around the world, i.e., American standards, Czech, Moravian, Russian, Gypsy, Folk & Jazz; French & Brazilian tunes, including many love ballads. His own songs are about relationships, spirituality, Freedom & Love - brutal oppression by the communist regime taught him a thing or two regarding the two latter important issues.
My creed is: By trade a geologist, by heart a musician.
• Robert's mother was a great performer; she sang w/ Big Bands & did Broadway tunes & played piano. At the age of 13, she made him play classical piano. Next year, the Beatles hit the scene & he switche
