I am an independent vocal artist from Upstate NY, doing something different by painting a beautiful life picture with my gift I am blessed to share to the world. I was named after one of the greatest rappers in history, Rakim. My father was and still is a huge fan of Rakim, so my father decided to name me after him. As a result, my birth name is Rakim Jones. In all, what separates me is that I am a vocal artist paving my way through my artistry as a Vocalist. Growing up I was given the nick name Rock at a very young age, I was the kid with a lot of energy doing backflips at BBQ's who had a strong passion for music deep inside. I loved and still love playing drum set, growing up I enjoyed the opportunity to play with a few local bands. Now I am using the passion to write my own lyrics and lay my vocals down on a hard earned bought beat.
