I started playing keyboards at age four, shortly after watching Close Encounters of the Third Kind. I also frequented many discos around that age. After wowing the crowd and receiving a standing ovation for singing 'The Rainbow Connection" at age 6, In knew I liked to perform and entertain. Fast forward to my twenties. My home state has always thrived in the alternative music genre, but falls short when it comes to - well - any other genre. So I began singing in punk/alternative bands; namely Homegrown, Hurt, Excelsior, The Bottle Club All Stars, and Piss Positive. Once I managed to navigate the ins and outs of writing and performing punk, metal, reggae, ska, jazz, bossa nova, I decided to go back to my roots; R&B, Disco, and Funk. Which is where I am now with this groovy sound, influenced by a lot of the funk scenes in Burbank and Minneapolis. I hope you enjoy some of the stuff at least. Stay cool!
