Rue du Wetz is an artistic project at the intersection of time. Inspired by the street of his childhood — the place where his imagination first took shape — the artist builds a universe where ancient words meet contemporary sound design. “Wetz,” meaning a watering point, becomes a central metaphor: a place to pause, to listen, to reconnect. Through this symbol, Rue du Wetz offers his audience a moment of inner stillness — a space to refresh the mind in a world saturated with noise. His work is based on the reinterpretation of old poetry, transformed into living material through productions blending hip-hop, reggae, rap, and electronic music. These texts, rich with history and memory, are deconstructed and reimagined within modern, minimal, and immersive soundscapes. Both visually and musically, Rue du Wetz embraces a restrained and introspective presence. The artist deliberately steps back, allowing meaning, texture, and emotion to take center stage.
