My name is Ruth and I'm a songwriter, vocalist and coach based in The Netherlands. Music is my passion for as long as I can remember, and it's been quite a journey since I started singing myself. I became a songwriter in 2015, and been on fire writing songs ever since. I'm mainly working on symphonic metal songs, but I also write in other genres. It's a journey of exploration, I guess. However, my musical preference lies in symphonic and gothic metal: a combination of solid beats, classical lines and a powerful soprano. My own work is inspired by symphonic metal bands such as Nightwish and Epica, but also by musical theater legend Andrew Lloyd Webber, and by the great composers Mozart and Bach.
