Beginning at the age of five years old, Ryan began learning piano, and has been fascinated with music since. Ryan then fell in love with the trumpet at the age of eleven, and has been involved in countless instrumental ensembles for the past eight years. With a huge interest in jazz, latin, funk, and classical music, Ryan has learned from and played with some of the top musicians in the Chicagoland area. Ryan is currently a second-year Music Education student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, studying with world-class educators and performers, with hopes of becoming a band director. In addition to holding a strong passion for music education, Ryan aspires to continue to compose and produce music for others to enjoy and listen to. He firmly believes that music has the power to heal and make the world a better place. Spread Love. RK.
