S1MUL8, the brainchild of Kevin Petrikin's passion, was ignited by an early love for guitar that clashed with traditional teachings. His journey, sculpted by metal's thunderous riffs and the immersive energy of metalcore, converged with a newfound fascination for electronic beats and the free-flowing melodies of jam bands. In college, amid the whirlwind of live music and social fervor, his guitar skills took a backseat until the magnetic pull of bands like Intervals and Polyphia reignited his dedication. Yet, his path was challenged by chronic tendinopathy, a barrier to his practice but a catalyst for innovation. Embracing limitations as a muse, S1MUL8 emerged—a synthesis of Kevin's diverse musical adoration. It's an endeavor to weave the essence of rock, metal, electronic, and improvisational joy into a single sonic identity, born from perseverance and a desire to transcend boundaries.
