Shawjeeb made his name in New York as a versatile singer long time back when he used to live there. He performed in many shows arranged by different Bengali organizations throughout the U.S.A. Moved to Toronto in 1998. Finishing his Graduation in Sound Engineering from Toronto Film School, Shawjeeb went back to Dhaka in 2006 and again, made his name there as a Singer/Composer/Music Director. He performed solo in TaraTv Kolkata a few times as well.
It’s worth mentioning that he came in touch with and accompanied with keyboards with some of our legendary Singers such as Manna De, Sipra Bose, Anup Ghoshal, Punno Das Baul, Rejwana Chaudhury Bonna and many more while living in NYC and Toronto. He became a disciple of Acharya Jayanta Bose few years back after being the sound engineer at his live performance in Dhaka Shilpokola Academy.
Owning a studio in Dhaka, Shawjeeb mostly spends his time in the studio living his dream life. Recently one of his song, “Bhallagena” went viral.
