This is a tune I have been working on for far too long. I wrote it between 28 February and 3 March 2022 after following the news of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. It is not intended specifically as a commentary on that situation. It was borne out of my reaction to the news and thoughts about the impact that such conflicts have on people in the moment and in the aftermath. more

This is my offering for Pete Johns Create Record Release Songtember Challenge 2021. The aim is to write, record and release a song from start to finish in the month of September. I wrote the song on the 8th and 9th of September, so I was a little behind schedule. Ordinarily I would release to streaming platforms using Distrokid, but I decided to release it here first to ensure it would be completed in September. The song is a happy tale of a pirate whose past is quickly catching up with him. more
