Sam Tripp is an award-winning cellist and composer located in Wilmington North Carolina. His music consists of crossovers and arrangements of mainstream music such as pop, hip-hop, EDM, and rock into the vast world of classical and film music. Sam pushes the limits of your "traditional cello music" by utilizing, cello percussion, looping, strumming and other innovative techniques in both his videos and live performances to create the sound of a one man symphony. In this year alone, Sam Tripp has received several awards such as the CCHS 2021 Department Award in Performing Arts, 2021 ACSI Distinguished Christian Student in Fine Arts Award and placed third at the CCHS talent show, "Coastals Got Talent" with the performance of his original arrangement, "the Hans Zimmer Suite". At the CCHS Award Ceremony (2020-2021), Instrumental Ensemble Director, Steve Morgan, acclaimed Sam as "an example of what passion, dedication, and commitment truly look like".
