Learning tabla from the age of 6, Sandeepan Chemmengattuvalappil (Sandu) was introduced to the world of music at a young age. Through the discipline of Indian Classical music, his music and performance holds root in a tradition of one of the world's oldest forms of music, 2000 years old.
Performing different genres of Music for more than 30 years, Sandu has garnered acknowledgement in international art festivals and collaborated with renowned world-class artists internationally.
After 8 years in the UAE and now established in Dubai, his musical style and foundation has merged with cross-cultural influences, and marks him as an artist of “world” music.
