Santhosh After Hours begins where noise ends. A place for listeners who think. It’s a personal music journal, built on midnight calm, memory, and multilingual storytelling rooted in Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. The songs lean toward stillness, spoken fragments, and honest emotion, not trends. Singers who quietly shaped my listening: Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Abida Parveen, K. J. Yesudas, Anuradha Paudwal, Michael Learns to Rock, Lucky Ali, Madurai Mani Iyer, Sudha Ragunathan, M. Balamuralikrishna, Kishori Amonkar and ABBA. Instrumentalists that taught me space and breath: Kenny G, Lalgudi Jayaraman, Ustad Bismillah Khan, Pandit Ravi Shankar, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, and Mandolin U. Srinivas. Somewhere in the background: The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Coke Studio Pakistan, West African folk, Tamil Themmangu, Salif Keita, and Sona Jobarteh. Cinema music is a small meteorite in the vast music universe. Life is short. Listen deep. Choose meaning, &appreciate the silence between notes.
