Bowater band's sound spans many genres. It blends poly rhythmic funk with back beats, ghost notes and rich vocal harmonies – with strong lead vocals. It’s not striving to be totally mainstream (think Talking Heads, Roxy music, B52’s – all fantastic bands). I believe my songs are felt in the heart. They are honest and inspired by my crazy life journey so far. People can feel this honesty. This is music that elevates and dissects the ‘everyday’ musings and messages from an often overlooked demographic - the father, husband, partner. (or so my wife says). I like to sing what isn’t spoken, for my generation of men unaccustomed to sharing deep emotions. I hope that you enjoy listening and it resonates with you in some way. It wouldn't have been possible to take it this far without my amazing band mates Sarita Petric and Cameron Malietoa. Together we are Bowater Band.
