Sequential Disruptions is the name of Paul Dullaart's creative exploration of music using analog synthesizers. His passion for electronic music grew in the early 1970s, when pioneers like Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze paved the way. It led to his first small steps in making experimental music with an analog synthesizer (and electric guitar). In the 1990s, he started playing notes using one of the first digital workstations and practiced his composition skills.
In early 2020, he started focusing on analog synthesizer music. His intention is to work with just a few synthesizers to focus on the organic integration of sound waves. He is not looking for certain sounds, but for certain moments (in sound). This leads to unexpected changes, conscious or coincidental. He considers it a wordless reflection of the times and it gives his music a raw, disruptive and uncompromising feel, befitting today's restless listeners.
