Sergio Medeiros, known as Baldovino, was shaped by rhythm long before he ever wrote a song. Raised in a home filled with music he learned early that Latin music is memory, culture, and heartbeat. From dancing lambada as a child to discovering salsa’s power through film, his connection to the genre became a calling rather than a choice.
Influenced by the energy of classic Afro-Caribbean music and the discipline of classical composition, Baldovino creates by hearing the brass, coro, and percussion internally before bringing them to life. His sound blends Fania-era spirit with modern tropical salsa, honoring tradition while pushing it forward. His music is built for the dance floor, driven by clave, and rooted in emotion.
