Country, Southern-Rock, Hymns & Blues influence Shelby K's unique Americana sound. While she performed on-stage for the first time in 2021, she has been singing in church and in her church choir, for much of her life. For years she hid her singing ability from people outside of church until 2022 when she debuted with 3 separate bands: River Front, Backroads Lullaby and Reverie. In 2024 with the encouragement of her good friend and producer, Cody Leppo; she wrote her first song entitled, "Truth". Truth along with two other songs, "Never End" and "You Left Me" are to be released in early 2025 as a three song self-titled EP. Shelby K writes from an empathetic place that captures her personal thoughts and feelings, as well as the feelings of others through their life experiences. Her musical storytelling and lyrics evoke an emotional response from her audience that takes them on a journey to not only find themselves in each story, but also try to understand others as well.
