Sheylla B is a singer-songwritter born in Luanda, raised in Lisbonne and living in Paris who draws inspiration from hip-hop, soul, jazz to fado icons such as Amalia Rodrigues, Lauryn Hill, Sade, or Nina Simone. Enriched by her musical multicultural experiences she created Mamashemade where the mixture of all her sound experiences finally expresses her "real fantasy" in a feminine way concept.
Julie Dehondt fell in love with the double bass from her musical debut. In addition to her classical studies at CRR de la Courneuve-Aubervilliers, where she obtained her prize, she plays and studies other musical trends such as jazz and world music.
In her collaboration with Sheylla B, she develops her entire sound palette which goes from rhythm to lyricism.
