Hiya, I'm Shiya. Storyteller through song. Voice from outside of time. Recovered scene girl. Owner of the white sedan. I was born in Alaska and moved to New York when I was eleven. During the move I would spend a lot of time in the backseat of my dad's truck. That's when I started journaling, at first about my life but slowly over time it became its own little world. Shiya is me, reflected back through the lens of this story. Years after the move, in 2016, my friends, family, and I formed this band. The people closest to me stepped into the world I had been carrying around for years and took on new names just like Shiya. Every song we release is a scene from that story. A memory, a feeling, a glitch. Too much snow. Our sound is typically ethereal djent metalcore meets digital glitchcore chaos. Emo post-hardcore music for the beautifully broken. ❄️
