Hello There... My name is Shmaya Cohen, I'm a musician, Jazz guitarist, composer & Film music producer. I play Guitars, as well as Bass Guitar, Flute, Precautions (Practically exploring anything that is capable of producing sound). Since early teenage years I was listening and inspired by Progressive Rock bands and from there the path to Jazz was obvious… One night I found myself at Wayne Shorter's concert in Tel-Aviv, this unusual experimental modern Jazz stroked me… This eventually brought me to take Jazz guitar lessons with some great Israeli musicians. My music is a mix of genres and influences, for me jazz is a framework for experimenting and searching of sounds that connect to my sub memories and creative excitement.
