Edward Perales Martinez, known mostly by his stage name ShortDogTx, is a Mexican-American rapper from Dallas, Texas. He was a member of the Dallas rap group South Gate Productions (SGP). ShortDogTx was born on October 6, 1991. He grew up in the Hutchins neighborhood of South Gate, where he attended Wilmer-Hutchins Schools, and studied music as a kid with his uncles. After dropping out of SGP, ShortDogTx returned to making country rap music independently. In 2023, He recorded his first successful independent solo album, Life Is Short, which featured Pacman of ADE (After Death Ent) oNe, Paystyle Meskin, 8Keyz, Mista Cadillac & 64Blanco. He is currently working on his second solo album, Short Smoke, which is scheduled to be released in February 2024. ShortDogTx proves Triple D, still got something to say!.
