I started my first real band in 2004 in New York City, Kung-Fuse. We played some historic venues including CBGB's and recorded 8 of our songs. When that group split I became the front man for a garage rock outfit out of Stamford, CT, The Stick. We only played a handful of shows and I couldn't get the band into the studio so I quit. Next I started producing and learning from "Bassy" Bob Brockmann and John Vergara. Together we released a few tracks under the name Sexual Freedom Riders. It was cool but uncomfortable working on that project so I moved on and produced The Radical Move, my 1st solo album released in 2010. I have released 2 albums since, Billie James in 2012 and Your Mom in 2017. These were all DIY self-produced and funded projects that failed to find an audience. I stopped making music for 5 years to raise my daughter. I felt something missing in my life so I started making music again. It's an obsession. Hopefully not purely selfish.
