KID$KAR, also known as $KARTHEKID, is an experimental artist who started making music at just 12 years old, using songwriting as a way to put his emotions into words. His sound pulls from countless influences, but he’s especially inspired by artists like XXXTentacion, Mac Miller, and Kendrick Lamar.
He wrote hundreds of songs on his phone before meeting someone who pushed him to start recording and mixing his own work. With nothing more than a $100 microphone and a computer, he and a friend began crafting tracks together. At 17, they released their first official song — and since then, they’ve been steadily rising, captivating listeners with sharp lyricism and a unique flow.
Because he experiments with so many styles, it’s hard to pin him down to a single genre. His catalogue spans hip-hop, old school, trap, R&B, alt-rock, rock, new jazz, drill, and more. Dive in and you’re bound to find something that fits you.
