I'm primarily a composer. I enjoy exploring ancient aesthetics of music with a global perspective. Typically, I'll limit my sonic world for each piece down to 3 to 5 pitches to see what comes from this limited set. I also like to write about music (globalmusictheory.com) where I attempt to absorb the power of music from a wide variety of traditions. I'm keenly interested in the interaction of sounds and humans - the effects of waves and vibrations on our health and wellbeing.
