Turin, Italy

Steve Manhattan is an electronic music producer based in Turin, Italy. He started playing drums at very young age, and even played in different bands throughout his youth. After several years of playing music, he decided to produce his own music. On June 2009 while he was walking on the 4th av of New York City he had a vision of what he wanted to do with his life. He was inspired by the energy of the city's streets and decided to start producing electronic music. At the age of 18, Steve started making beats using Propellerheads Reason and Ableton Live. He recorded samples from vinyl records and used them as beats or loops on the computer keyboard. In the years he's been using them, he's learned a lot about sound design and analog gear. He has a very distinct sound, characterized by a unique combination of deep bass lines, atmospheric pads and powerful breaks. He likes to experiment with different genres such as EDM, Drum & Bass, Techno and Dubstep.
