Music has always been a huge part of SwitchVicious' life; his step dad is a DJ. Having been exposed to rap at the age of 9 and the gang culture in Tacoma, WA by 11, Switch started getting into trouble at school and was sent to a K-12 alternative school in 7th grade, where he made friends with high school kids and started getting into trouble with the law. By 17, he was a dropout, and had been arrested over 20 times and on probation for 3 years. Upon his final court date, the judge stated that he was released from probation and that the courts had given up on him. This made him stop getting into trouble. He started hanging out with his brother, who got him interested in rapping and after getting a stagehand job and seeing the music industry firsthand, he decided to start making music. He spent 4 years perfecting his writing and beat making skills before being attacked by a childhood friend and sustaining brain damage in 2019.
