Talon Nadeau (he/him), known as “TALON”, is a 19-year-old Indigenous hip-hop artist who was born and raised in East Vancouver. His lyrics are honest, introspective, and passionate as they reflect his experiences that have come from living on the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver his entire life. Through his lyrics that discuss his struggles and his accomplishments, TALON hopes to create music that is relatable to other youth. Within a year of releasing his debut single, “ToucDown”, he made an appearance on CTV news and performed for a group of Indigenous youth at an event hosted by the Burnaby School District. TALON continues to share his music through public and private performances and studio recordings. His music is inspiring Indigenous youth and Indigenous artists, as his vocals focus on encouraging Indigenous people to pursue their creativity.
