Oklahoma native. I grew up in a musical family. My dad and his siblings played every stringed instrument there is. My dad focused on the guitar and fiddle. I tried to learn guitar and fiddle both, but my patience didn't cut the mustard. So, I just sang in school ,church and community choirs mostly. Recently, years after my dad passed, I just started jotting down lines but had no one to help me arrange them but I knew how I wanted them to sound, so with the help of some advancement in technology and some friends giving me advice on what sounded good, I started writing lyrics and putting together some music. A lot of what I draw from are southern idioms, my childhood, past regrets, love lost, dreams.... normal country writing I suppose.
