Thaler grew up outside of Music City in Franklin, TN. He was introduced to classic rock and Weird Al tapes at a young age. His first CD was Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins. Middle school arrived and so did Napster. He fell into a deep hole of indie rock/emo bands none of his friends knew of. And he kept digging. He started playing guitar around age 13 and armed with a 4 track recorder, Thaler started creating music. His digital 45 release is a creation from growing up on Modest Mouse, Appleseed Cast, Built to Spill, and Pedro the Lion.
