The Dregs are a Birmingham punk band formed in 1979 who played many gigs recorded 2 demos in the early 1980s. They took an extended break in 1987, and a one-off performance for industrial workers of the world in the early 2000s would be the only time the band played again until the original members started playing as a band again in 2015. It all came together again very quickly and the band recorded new songs and began gigging again including the Rebellion Festival in 2018 and supports to major UK punk bands. The band continue to perform both new and old stuff and support lots of punk bands and play many festivals. The band recorded their first studio album in 2024 which was released in October 2024. At a recent gig they were described as ‘an authentic 1970s punk band playing politically charged rock and roll.
