Pieter-Jan (also known as PJ) and myself have been making punk music together for several years. Our dream was to share this with others. It all started with 'De Simple Hespogenen' in 2011, where we toured a good number of stages together with other band members. Due to circumstances, the group has stopped. This was a big disappointment for us. We just wanted to keep making music. We founded 'The Insecure' in 2016. A few years and a few band members later we where left with two. This was no reason to stop. We decided together to continue as a two-piece band. It felt better. After writing new songs and reworking old songs, we finally started again. As 'The Insecure' we play a mixture of melodic hardcore and skate-punk.
