The song is inspired by the Greek myth of Medusa and gives a new twist to its common conception. In our fictional story, we tried to express the feelings of a man ready to die to spend more time with his beloved one, knowing her being a monster would kill him. The chorus section describes the moment he asks her not to hate him for being so involved in their relationship, as he’s willing to experience even the worst side of her being. The title “Darkest Everything”, a quote from Frida Khalo’s intimate diary, sums up the truly essence of acceptance.
