The Saddest Day is the solo project of Slacker/Experimental Rocker Glenn Smith. With this outlet, he seeks to understand the concept of an optimistic melancholy played out on the backdrop of dissonance. With layers of guitars, bass, and distortion he tries to create a canvas of spaciness and jarring melodies that hopefully entice the listener to contemplate the misguided words that often come from a place of emptiness and loneliness. However, the lyrics try with all their might to expand into something meaningful for each listener.
