Tony Spence is a one man band based out of Milwaukee, WI. His highly anticipated debut album is set to debut in Spring of 2022 - titled "Missing in Action". The project revolves around themes of inexperience and finding comfort in the unknown. The entirety of this album was recorded, mixed, and mastered within the confines of my one bedroom apartment and draws inspiration from artists like Twin Peaks, Wallows, and Still Woozy. Tracks like Desaturated Thoughts, Bad Behavior, The Kitchen Counter, and Limelight are driven by heavy electric guitar, melancholic base, and edged out vocals; while tracks like Saturday, Cobwebs, and Grand Stand encapsulate a much more mature and lyrically conscious undercurrent. The title track “MIA” brings the album to its head point. The lyrics dive into the the self realization of understanding ones place within chaos and monotony. The warm synths and insistent base reassert the predictability of the surrounding world, but also work to propel the song
